Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Solution Architect - Data Platforms to own the enterprise data platform architecture, including lakehouse layering for analytics serving multiple business units. You will drive governance and platform standards while steering architecture reviews with leadership.

You will evaluate technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse/Fabric, define reference architectures, and collaborate on canonical models, data vault concepts, and compliance with SOC 2/SOX

Qualifications

8+ years of data/platform architecture experience, including enterprise-scale lakehouse or data warehouse platforms.
Deep hands-on expertise with modern platform stacks such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
Experience with data governance tooling for cataloging, lineage, and classification.

Responsibilities

Own the enterprise data platform architecture and lakehouse layering for analytical platforms.
Evaluate and recommend platform technologies for storage, compute, and orchestration (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse).
Design ingestion, ELT/ETL, and orchestration patterns spanning batch, micro-batch, and workloads.
Adhere to data governance and catalog architecture with data stewardship integration.
Establish reference architecture and platform standards including security, residency, and compliance.
Partner with architects to align canonical data models and contracts feeding the platform.
Lead trade-off analysis of architecture options and drive cost optimization.
