Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Solution Architect for Data Platforms in Los Angeles to own and evolve the enterprise data platform architecture, including lakehouse layering for analytics across multiple business units. You will influence technology choices, governance, and cost considerations while partnering with data teams to align canonical models and contracts.

You will design robust ingestion and orchestration patterns, drive reference architectures, and ensure SOC 2/SOX compliance and data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data/platform architecture experience.
• Experience with lakehouse/modern data warehouse platforms.
• Knowledge of medallion architecture, Data Mesh, Data Vault 2.0.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data platform architecture across lakehouse layers.
• Evaluate technologies for storage, compute, and orchestration (Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse).
• Design ingestion, ELT/ETL, and orchestration patterns for batch and streaming workloads.
• Ensure data governance and cataloging with Purview.
• Lead architecture decisions and drive strategic platform standards.
• Guide trade-offs between architecture options and PoCs.
