Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking an experienced Senior Architect/Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms using Databricks Lakehouse architecture. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with team mentorship and governance responsibilities to deliver scalable, secure data products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Platform implementation.
• 3+ years of leading Data Engineering teams or programs.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, SQL and Python.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
• Strong enterprise data governance, metadata management, data lineage and quality frameworks.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Drive adoption of Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake and modern data engineering practices.
• Architect and deliver batch, streaming and real-time data pipelines.
• Build data products serving analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
• Oversee data integration across ERP, trading, ops and third-party systems.
• Establish reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference architectures.
• Mentor and lead Data Engineers; perform design/code reviews and coaching.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, BAs and Data Scientists to align delivery with business goals.
