Job summary

Sunset is seeking an Account Executive (Data Partnerships) to source real-world business data, pitch executives, negotiate terms, and close proprietary data deals directly with operating companies. You will translate dataset value for AI labs while ensuring ownership stays with the data providers.

You will engage C-suite executives through complex sales cycles, structure pricing and data privacy terms, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and partner teams to identify high-value assets

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years in a high-performance, client-facing environment: enterprise sales, consulting, investment banking, partnerships, business development, or data deals.
• A track record of hitting or exceeding a number (quota, revenue, deals closed).
• Banker/M&A-caliber negotiation skill: handles objections in high-stakes conversations.
• High EQ and IQ, technically credible enough to discuss highly technical mechanics with engineering and legal stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in-person at the office in Dumbo, five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle: source targets, pitch executives, structure terms, and close proprietary data deals.
• Structure and negotiate complex deal structures; handling pricing, terms, data privacy, anonymization, and compliance.
• Speak with and manage C-suite executives through complex sales cycles.
• Work with engineering, ops and our partners to identify the most valuable assets that need sourcing.
