Job summary

Databricks, headquartered in San Francisco, is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead complex, strategic customer engagements around the Data Intelligence Platform. You will influence decision-makers, coach teams, and drive adoption of data analytics solutions across a cloud ecosystem.

You will develop collateral, lead workshops, and explore tracks in technical specialization, industry thought leadership, strategic customer vision, and people management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of customer-facing technical experience.
• Know how to engage in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and executives by developing relationships and orchestrating teams for long-term customer success.
• Prior experience with coding in a core programming language (Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executives in your designated territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications.
• Be a 'champion' for both customers and colleagues, operating as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for significant data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet‑ups.
