Job summary

Databricks is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect to drive customer success across strategic accounts in the United States. You will partner with Account Executives to design and communicate scalable data intelligence solutions using Databricks Data + AI Platform.

You will mentor junior architects, run workshops, and influence stakeholders, including executives, to align technical outcomes with business goals. Travel up to 30% is expected; strong communication and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of customer-facing technical experience.
• Experience with complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives by developing relationships and orchestrating teams.
• Coding experience in Python, Java or Scala and willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platform(s).
• Know how to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape.
• Can travel up to 30% when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executive(s) in your designated territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications, ensuring they are excited by the Databricks vision and solution strategy.
• Be a 'champion' for both customers and colleagues, operating as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for significant data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
