Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Business Data Intelligence & Operations Analyst to bridge complex data environments with executive decision-makers across federal and defense programs. You will design dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, and Salesforce Analytics, define KPIs with leadership, and deliver operational and workforce analytics to guide strategic decisions.

Experience in BI tools, Python/SQL, cloud data basics, and enterprise systems like Salesforce and Costpoint is required; security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years experience (or commensurate).
• Security Clearance: must be eligible to obtain a security clearance if required by position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, MIS, CS or a closely related analytical field.
• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, operational analytics, or federal consulting (DoD/DoN experience desirable).
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and BI platforms, specifically Power BI, Tableau, and Salesforce Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis and modeling tools, including Python, SQL, JSON, R, and Advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with cloud data engineering and AI/ML fundamentals, particularly AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, SageMaker, Lex).
• Experience navigating enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Costpoint, SharePoint, and Oracle Taleo.
• Core Competencies: Stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and delivering polished executive briefings in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain executive dashboards and recurring operational reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Salesforce Analytics to track revenue, pipeline activity, and workforce performance.
• Partner with senior leadership and government clients to define KPIs and translate requirements into technical specs.
• Perform detailed operational, financial, and contract analyses to support strategic planning and process improvement.
• Deliver workforce analytics to provide visibility into recruiting pipelines and hiring trends.
• Conduct market research on federal agencies and GovTech trends to support business development and proposals.
• Present analytical findings and insights to executives and client audiences to drive improvements.
• Utilize SharePoint, Salesforce, and Costpoint to streamline reporting workflows.
