Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Business Data Intelligence & Operations Analyst to bridge data environments and executive decision-making. You will design executive dashboards and reports, defining KPIs with senior leaders for federal contracting programs.

This role emphasizes data science, BI tooling (Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce Analytics), and stakeholder engagement to drive strategic planning and performance management across government clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years experience (or commensurate).
• Security Clearance: must be eligible to obtain a security clearance if required by position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, MIS, CS or related analytical field.
• Experience: 3+ years in business intelligence, operational analytics, or federal consulting (DoD/DoN experience desirable).
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and BI platforms: Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, JSON, R, and Advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with cloud data engineering and AI/ML fundamentals, especially AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, SageMaker).
• Experience navigating Salesforce, Costpoint, SharePoint, and Oracle Taleo.
• Core competencies: stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, presenting polished executive briefings.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain interactive executive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, and Salesforce Analytics.
• Partner with senior leadership and clients to define KPIs and translate requirements into reporting specs.
• Perform detailed operational, financial, and contract analyses for strategic planning and process improvement.
• Deliver workforce analytics on recruiting pipelines, hiring trends, and resource allocation.
• Conduct market research on federal agencies and GovTech trends for business development.
• Present findings and executive briefings to leadership and clients to drive improvements.
• Utilize SharePoint, Salesforce, and Costpoint to streamline reporting workflows.
