Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to design and implement metadata, reference data, and data quality processes.

You will lead moderately complex initiatives under supervision and collaborate with governance teams to ensure data is well defined and trusted. This role partners with MDM, data catalogs, semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and AI-enabled solutions to preserve enterprise meaning for both humans and systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in data cataloging, data lineage, data classification, reference data management, and glossary management.
• Experience with API-based system and data integration.
• Experience with major Electronic Health Record (EHR) vended solutions and backend data architecture.
• Advanced SQL skills and database design, ETL, and data mapping.
• Experience with data quality monitoring and improvements.
• Ability to work with colleagues across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and semantic models for enterprise domains (entities, relationships, hierarchies, taxonomies).
• Resolve ambiguous business terminology by facilitating stakeholder discussions.
• Translate concepts into computable semantic structures for MDM, catalogs, and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with owners, stewards, architects, and engineering teams to align models with data designs.
• Maintain enterprise glossaries, ontologies, taxonomies, and reference-data structures.
