Job summary

Intermountain Health in Utah is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to design, develop, and implement metadata management, reference data management, and data quality monitoring. The role reports to the Data Governance Manager and leads moderately complex initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with data cataloging, lineage, data classification and governance.
• Experience with system and data integration via API.
• Experience with major EHR vendor solutions and data architecture basics.
• Advanced SQL and data mapping skills.
• Experience with data quality monitoring and improvement.
• Team player with collaboration across organization levels.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop semantic models for enterprise domains and business rules.
• Analyze terminology and establish precise, reusable definitions.
• Translate business concepts into computable semantic structures.
• Collaborate with owners, stewards, architects, and engineers to align models.
• Maintain enterprise glossaries, ontologies, taxonomies, and reference data.
• Identify authoritative sources, ownership and survivorship rules.
• Conduct domain discovery and business architecture analysis.
• Support master data management initiatives and governance requirements.
• Define semantic requirements for AI, knowledge graphs and semantic layers.
• Develop modeling standards and governance documentation.
