Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a Senior Data Governance Analyst to design and implement metadata, reference data, and data quality processes.

You will work with data stewards, architects, and engineers to align semantic models with data architectures and enterprise glossaries across the organization. The role requires hands-on experience with governance technologies, strong SQL, and collaboration across multiple teams to enable AI-ready data and MDM initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance work such as cataloging, lineage, classification, glossary management.
• API integration experience with data systems.
• Experience with EHR data architectures and backend modeling.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling knowledge.
• Experience with data quality monitoring and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and semantic models for enterprise domains.
• Resolve ambiguous business terminology with stakeholders.
• Translate business concepts into computable semantic structures.
• Partner with owners, stewards, architects, and engineers to align models with data.
• Establish and maintain enterprise glossaries, taxonomies, and reference-data structures.
• Identify authoritative sources, ownership, and survivorship rules.
• Conduct domain discovery and business architecture analysis.
• Support master data management initiatives and governance requirements.
• Define semantic requirements for AI, knowledge-graph, and semantic-layer solutions.
• Develop modeling standards, governance practices, and documentation.
