Intermountain Health is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to design and implement metadata, reference data, and data quality processes. The role emphasizes hands‑on work with the chosen governance platform and collaboration across stakeholders to ensure consistent enterprise semantics.

The candidate will develop ontologies, taxonomies, and glossary structures while supporting AI, knowledge graphs, and semantic layer initiatives in a complex health data environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance activities such as cataloging, lineage, and glossary management.
• Experience with system and data integration via APIs.
• Deep understanding of EHR data architecture and backend modeling.
• Advanced SQL skills and knowledge of ETL and data mapping.
• Experience with data quality monitoring and improvement.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Develop conceptual and semantic models for enterprise business domains.
• Analyze and resolve ambiguous business terminology with stakeholders.
• Translate concepts into computable semantic structures for MDM, catalogs, and AI.
• Partner with owners, stewards, architects, and engineers to align models with data models.
• Establish and maintain enterprise glossaries, ontologies, taxonomies, and reference data structures.
• Identify authoritative sources, ownership boundaries, survivorship rules, and semantic relationships.
• Conduct domain discovery and business architecture analysis.
• Support master data management initiatives by defining governance requirements.
• Define semantic requirements for AI, knowledge graphs, and semantic layers.
• Develop modeling standards, governance practices, and documentation.
