Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer with strong Python backend (Django/DRF) and modern frontend (Nuxt 4, Vue 3, TypeScript) skills. The role covers building scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and secure authentication in AWS environments.

You will design data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows with AWS Glue, Pandas and NumPy, and collaborate in an Agile, distributed team. The position offers backend/frontend ownership, serverless patterns, and data engineering focus with

Qualifications

Python, Django and DRF for backend services.
Pydantic for validation and API modeling.
Token-based auth with django-rest-knox, OAuth, Azure AD.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
Build and document RESTful APIs using DRF/OpenAPI/Swagger.
Implement data validation and API modeling with Pydantic.
Develop secure authentication with django-rest-knox, OAuth and MSAL/Azure AD.
Create frontend with Nuxt 4, Vue 3 and TypeScript.
Manage frontend state with Pinia and Tailwind/Nuxt UI.
Design and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation and delivery.
Build ETL/ELT workflows with AWS Glue and Pandas/NumPy.
