Job summary

BECU is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade data pipelines, enabling analytics, reporting, and AI-driven capabilities across cloud-native platforms.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and governance teams to deliver secure, scalable data products while advancing data quality, lineage, and automation in a modern cloud environment. Remote/hybrid options and competitive compensation support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of functional experience in data engineering.
• 4 years of coding in Python, Scala, Java, SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with modern data platforms (Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Experience with ETL/ELT, SQL, and Azure Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs).
• Experience with SQL data modeling, data warehousing, and enterprise data stores.
