Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director – Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms in the US to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities. You will partner with leaders to establish technical direction, deliver modern data platforms and develop solutions delivering measurable business value.

You’ll lead design and delivery of advanced data and AI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, cloud platforms and emerging AI technologies, guiding architecture decisions, mentoring teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology discipline.
• 8–12 years of data engineering/ analytics delivery experience.
• Experience leading development teams and guiding architecture decisions.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric; familiarity with both is a plus.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, modelling, testing, monitoring and production support.
• Experience in onshore/offshore delivery models and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for data, analytics and AI platform initiatives from design to production support.
• Guide architecture decisions to meet security, scalability and quality requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing and deployment.
• Review data pipelines and analytics solutions for reliability and performance.
• Manage risks, dependencies and delivery timelines with governance.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.
• Communicate risks and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Support onshore and offshore transitions and knowledge transfer.
