Job summary

CoreWeave seeks an experienced Senior White Space Design Engineer in California to lead architectural and infrastructure designs for global data centers. You will develop, review, and standardize white space solutions, coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and operations to ensure scalable, constructible infrastructure.

You will guide detailed analyses, design reviews, and handoffs through construction, ensuring compliance with industry standards and CoreWeave requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Network, Low Voltage/Cabling, or related field).
• 7+ years of experience in data center design, mission-critical infrastructure engineering, or white space design leadership.
• Direct experience with data center white space infrastructure systems (PDUs, RPPs, busways, etc.).
• Experience as a consulting engineer, design consultant, or owner’s representative overseeing third-party design consultants.
• Knowledge of low-voltage infrastructure systems (structured cabling, ladder rack, cable tray, etc.).
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, and design changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review white space layouts, infrastructure designs, specifications, details, and engineering documentation.
• Maintain CoreWeave’s White Space Basis of Design, technical standards, and reference designs.
• Perform detailed technical reviews of high-density power distribution, cooling, and layout systems.
• Coordinate electrical and mechanical white space systems, including PDUs, busways, rack power distribution, and containment.
• Review network pathways and cabling in coordination with Network Engineering.
• Provide technical direction to third-party design consultants and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support projects during construction, commissioning, and deployment; resolve field design issues.
