Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior White Space Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of white space infrastructure across its data center portfolio. You will apply deep technical expertise to develop designs, perform analyses, review consultant deliverables, and resolve complex coordination issues.

Collaborating with internal teams and third-party consultants, you will ensure scalable, constructible, and reliable whitespace solutions from concept through construction handoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Network, Low Voltage/Cabling, or related field).
• 7+ years of experience in data center design, mission-critical infrastructure engineering, or white space design leadership.
• Direct experience with data center white space infrastructure systems (PDUs, RPPs, busways, branch circuits, containment, high-density cooling).
• Experience coordinating with third-party design consultants or owner’s representatives.
• Knowledge of low-voltage infrastructure systems (cabling, ladder rack, cable tray, overhead conveyance, network pathways).
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and design changes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Asana, Smartsheet.
• Knowledge of data center design standards (TIA-942, BICSI, ASHRAE, NFPA, Uptime Institute).

Responsibilities

• Develop and review white space layouts, infrastructure designs, specifications, details, and engineering documentation.
• Maintain White Space Basis of Design, technical standards, and reference designs.
• Review high-density power distribution, cooling systems, equipment layouts, containment, and LV pathways.
• Design and coordinate white space electrical systems (PDUs, RPPs, busways, branch circuits, grounding).
• Design and coordinate white space mechanical systems (remote CDUs, liquid-cooling, hot aisle containment).
• Review cabling systems, ladder rack, cable tray, network pathways with Network Engineering.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, design changes, field conditions for compliance.
• Provide technical direction to third-party design consultants.
• Support construction, commissioning, and deployment with technical Answers.
• Participate in design workshops, constructability reviews, and lessons-learned sessions.
• Share lessons learned to improve design quality and scalability.
• Mentor other engineers within a high-performing design organization.
