Job summary

CoreWeave seeks a Senior White Space Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of white space infrastructure for its global data center portfolio. You will apply deep technical expertise to develop designs, review consultant deliverables, and resolve complex multidisciplinary coordination issues.

You will collaborate with internal engineering teams, third‑party designers, Construction, Operations, Network Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure scalable, standardised, and constructible

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Network, Low Voltage/Cabling, or related field).
• 7+ years of experience in data center design, mission-critical infrastructure engineering, or white space design leadership.
• Direct experience with data center white space infrastructure systems (PDUs, RPPs, busways, branch circuits, hot aisle containment, remote CDUs, fan walls, high-density cooling).
• Experience supervising third-party design consultants or acting as owner’s representative.
• Knowledge of low-voltage infrastructure systems and network pathway coordination.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and design changes.
• Hands-on proficiency with engineering and project management tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Asana, Smartsheet).
• Knowledge of data center design standards and guidelines (TIA-942, BICSI, ASHRAE, NFPA, Uptime Institute).

Responsibilities

• Develop and review white space layouts, infrastructure designs, specifications, details, and engineering documentation.
• Maintain and improve CoreWeave’s White Space Basis of Design and technical standards.
• Perform detailed reviews of high-density power distribution, cooling systems, and rack layouts.
• Coordinate electrical and mechanical white space systems across projects.
• Review and coordinate with Network Engineering on cable pathways and racks.
• Oversee third‑party design consultants to meet project requirements and CoreWeave standards.
• Support construction, commissioning, and field issue resolution.
• Lead design workshops and constructability reviews.
• Share lessons learned to improve design quality and repeatability.
