Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician III to lead customer-facing work in data centers and co-locations.

You will ensure reliable installation, maintenance, and operation of optical transport and infrastructure, act as the customer interface, and uphold high-quality execution across installations, migrations, remediation, and remote hands services. The role requires hands-on fiber cabling and optical testing experience, with strong English communication skills and safety-conscious

Qualifications

• 3–15 years of experience in data center operations or similar technical environment with direct customer interaction.
• Strong hands-on experience with connectorized fiber optic cabling (single/multi-mode, LC, fan-outs).
• Experience with optical testing and transport troubleshooting.
• Experience leading a team.
• Excellent written and verbal English for customer-facing communications.
• Organizational, administrative, and documentation skills using customer apps and MS Office.
• Ability to multitask and perform in high-availability environments.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of work at customer data centers and provide feedback to technicians.
• Interact with customers via ticketing tools or in person, delivering clear status reports.
• Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation, and migrations.
• Conduct/ supervise optical testing using meters, light sources, VFLs, OTDRs, and test sets.
• Execute MOps and engineering docs accurately to deliver services.
• Read cut sheets and network designs to ensure correct port connections and cable management.
