Job summary

Knutson Construction is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, procurement planning, design management, value optimization, and client engagement for Mission Critical projects. This role guides the preconstruction team, develops GMPs and budgets, and partners with operations to ensure bid excellence.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in preconstruction or 15+ with an Associate’s degree, strong leadership, and a track record in data-center or mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a construction-related field and 10+ years in preconstruction.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of estimating, budgeting, GMPs, and bid analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction process and prepare for construction start with clients and design teams.
• Develop accurate cost estimates, GMPs, and bid planning using relevant software.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and front-end specifications across projects.
• Mentor estimators; coordinate workload with Preconstruction Director and operations.
• Pursue profitable work, build client relationships, and pursue opportunities.
