Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to lead BAU hardware operations across the Americas, covering enterprise, colocation, WAN, and cloud environments. You will drive performance, risk management, and service quality while aligning with business priorities.

You will build top-notch teams, manage on-call coverage, oversee incidents and changes, and ensure cost control, compliance, and detailed reporting to senior leadership across regions.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a comparable critical operations environment.
• Experience managing a sizeable P&L and operating within disciplined operating and capital budget controls.
• Proven track record leading teams across regions, locations, and time zones.
• Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated IT hardware services for Morgan Stanley's Americas data center portfolio.
• Oversee hardware-related changes, incidents, and problems from initiation through closure, including post-incident reviews.
• Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain understanding of data center design, operation models, and resiliency planning to support effective response.
• Provide disciplined oversight of financial management, regulatory compliance, health and safety, and environmental controls.
• Deliver regular management reporting on performance, service quality, and governance metrics.
• Communicate operating principles and objectives clearly to stakeholders; manage incident communications and follow-up actions.
