Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a hands-on Service Installer to support installation teams in data centers across Jersey City, NJ. You will perform rack and stack, cabling, and deployment of server, storage, and networking equipment, providing frontline support to customers.

The role requires up to 50% travel, flexibility for nights/weekends, and strong hardware diagnostics, BIOS/drivers troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering to ensure hardware deployments meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing complex X86 systems and components.
• Degree in CS, CE, EE or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of customer support experience.
• Strong diagnostics, BIOS/drivers troubleshooting, and issue escalation.

Responsibilities

• Perform rack, stack, cabling and networking installation tasks in data centers.
• Provide frontline technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• Diagnose hardware/software/network issues and coordinate with engineering.
• Travel up to 50% for customer installations or troubleshooting.
