Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to support Global Services with on-site installations and remote assistance. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform rack and stack, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across data centers and client sites.

The role requires travel up to 50%, excellent communication, and hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2+ years in servicing complex X86 systems and parts.
2+ years in a customer support role.
Experience with BIOS, drivers and software-related issues.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency with Excel functions and data handling.
Experience with enterprise-grade server hardware.

Responsibilities

Provide frontline technical support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Escalate complex problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Perform physical installation, rack and stack, cabling, and networking of data center hardware.
Assist in the deployment of server, storage, and networking equipment.
Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure to ensure uptime.
Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on data center hardware and software.
Collaborate with data center staff to address technical issues.
Document and report data center activities and incidents.
Travel up to 50% to customer sites and data centers.
