Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a field-oriented technician to support our Global Service Installation Team in Jersey City, NJ. The role requires working flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to install and service data center hardware.

You will perform racking, stacking, cabling, and network setup for server and storage equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues, coordinating with engineering for seamless integration, and delivering frontline support to

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience servicing complex X86 systems and components.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; or an Associate’s degree with equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience with Customer Support.
• Strong diagnostics skills for hardware, BIOS, drivers, and software loads.

Responsibilities

• Install and rack/server cabling in data centers.
• Deploy server, storage, and networking equipment.
• Perform on-site hardware installation, cable management, and testing.
• Coordinate with engineering for proper hardware deployment.
• Provide frontline technical support via phone, email, and tickets.
