Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Sr. Technician to perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs in a critical data center environment.

You will manage inspections, respond to alarms, and coordinate with vendors to ensure site standards and regulatory compliance are met. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of relevant experience, ability to work shifts, and strong MS Office and math skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Use established procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience analyzing information and making judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills for percent, fractions, and related calculations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs.
• Verify subcontractor compliance and accompany on-site vendor visits.
• Review meter readings from UPS, PDU and utilities for documentation.
• Provide mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and fixes for faults.
• Lead by example and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Maintain spare parts inventory to support maintenance activity.
• Operate permit-to-work system and ensure proper controls are in place.
