Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Sr. Technician to perform preventative maintenance and complex corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. The role is part of Critical and Technical Services, responsible for maintenance in critical client environments.

It requires supporting M&E systems and responding to BMS alarms to keep uptime high. Responsibilities include site inspections, safety, and coordinating with vendors to ensure compliance with processes, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information to make judgments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills including calculations of percentages and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site’s environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Verify subcontractor performance meets requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
