Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a Data Center operation. The role involves inspecting Mechanical & Engineering systems, responding to BMS alarms, and coordinating with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with processes and regulations.

The technician will perform planned and reactive maintenance, monitor environmental conditions, and document maintenance records while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent and 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Meet physical requirements of the role.
• Ability to present information clearly to internal stakeholders.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation.
• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure adherence to processes and laws.
• Complete planned maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Check BMS for running/alarm conditions and address HVAC issues.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities.
