Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. seeks a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer to lead daily DC work, enforce procedures, and guide engineers on installation and fault finding. You will monitor security, asset records, and capacity, ensuring compliance with change controls and incident workflows.

Role requires 5+ years in DC environments, strong leadership, and excellent documentation skills. On-site Illinois base with competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Center environments.
• Experience supervising a team of Data Center Engineers.
• Familiar with Change Control, Incident Management & Problem Management processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Data Center Engineers and act as an escalation point for the Team.
• Maintain access control lists and check access reports daily.
• Maintain the ‘process and procedure’ documentation relating to all aspects of data Center operations.
• Ensure up to date shift logs are kept at all times.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and adapt working patterns to maintain SLA’s.
• Install, relocate and recover Network, Server and Storage hardware to standards.
• Repair hardware to major component level across vendor equipment.
• Manage goods in/out process and asset records for storage facilities.
• Carry out daily checks on security and access policies and Data Center cleanliness.
• Produce reports on Daily & Monthly activity.
