Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer for our data center team in the United States. You will manage and analyze costs across the project lifecycle, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy.

The role requires 4+ years in cost engineering for data centers, with strong analytical, budgeting and forecasting skills, and the ability to present to stakeholders and project teams. On-site presence is expected; nationwide US work is possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in cost engineering focused on data centers.
• Strong analytical skills and cost accounting understanding.
• Excellent communication and client-facing presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets (labor, materials, equip.).
• Perform cost analysis and forecasting to keep projects within budget.
• Identify financial risks and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare cost reports and progress updates for managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with procurement and contract management for cost control.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with third-party quantity surveyors and validate estimates.
• Maintain historical cost data repository and track cost performance metrics.
• Lead monthly cost reporting; SOX controls may apply.
