Job summary

Turner Townsend in the United States seeks a Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor for a major data center project in Pennsylvania. The role requires strong client-facing leadership, on-site presence, and the ability to deliver high-value cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will lead cost planning, change management, and negotiations with design teams and contractors, while mentoring team members and ensuring SOX-compliant processes where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of cost management experience in construction projects.
• RICS accreditation preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimating and cost planning, including presenting final cost plans.
• Review and collaborate with design teams and general contractors on cost estimates.
• Reconcile cost changes and support data accuracy from contractors.
• Gather status updates to prepare cost estimate revisions.
• Coordinate all sources of cost data from suppliers and design teams.
• Lead negotiations to achieve fair contract values and manage change control.
