Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Senior Project Engineer on-site in San Antonio, TX to drive coordination across multiple data-center construction projects. You will manage submittals/RFI, oversee safety, and coordinate with design-build partners while aligning with Operations for commissioning and closeout.

The role requires 3+ years in construction project engineering, data-center experience preferred, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
• Data Center experience is preferred.
• Experience in CSA and MEP construction management is a strong preference.
• Expected travel is 10% but may grow and evolve over time.

Responsibilities

• Manage submittal and RFI processing and safety reporting.
• Coordinate VDC led meetings and transcribe minutes; drive actions to closure.
• Oversee OFCI equipment release, delivery, deficiencies, startup, and commissioning.
• Ensure project quality controls and safety programs; manage design modifications.
• Prepare monthly financial updates and forecasts; coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Assist construction manager with closeout, turnover, and documentation.
