Job summary

QTS is seeking a Senior Development Project Engineer (Data Center Construction) to support design, preconstruction, and construction for projects across campuses. You will interact with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations & Corporate Real Estate staff to ensure project success.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years in commercial construction, with experience in Lump Sum, CM@Risk,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures (Lump Sum, CM@Risk, Design Build).
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel for updates and budgets.
• US Citizenship required by law due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day to day activities and responsibilities.
• Manage multiple projects on campuses and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Provide monthly development program updates for executive reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, design and construction teams on master development programs and capital budgets.
• Assist with entitlement and permitting needs for assigned sites.
• Prepare scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning, and procurement.
