QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Senior Development Project Engineer (Data Center Construction MEPR) to lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities across multiple campus projects. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, and Corporate real estate staff, managing budgets and schedules and coordinating enterprise-wide development programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, 5+ years in commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management field or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including Lump Sum, CM @ Risk, and Design Build delivery methods.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint for executive updates and Excel for budgets.
• US Citizenship required due to federal contracts.
• Experience in mission critical data center facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day-to-day activities and responsibilities.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and status reports for multiple campus projects.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and procurement teams to develop master development programs and budgets.
• Support entitlement and permitting needs for assigned sites.
• Review change orders and assist with cost estimates and procurement processes.
• Monitor project budgets and track progress for on-time completion.
