Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead a data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will oversee pre-construction planning, manage a field team, and ensure safety, schedule, and cost targets are met. Strong data center experience and NFPA70E knowledge are required.

You will coordinate with owners, subcontractors and vendors, developing innovative modularization approaches while auditing progress and change orders. Competitive compensation and benefits follow.

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of experience on large building or civil projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• Experience leading Data Center projects and managing subs/vendors.
• Knowledgeable in NFPA70E and construction scheduling (critical path).
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction and construction planning for data center projects.
• Review contractor performance against schedule and quality targets.
• Develop and implement construction schedules and micro-scheduling.
• Lead daily/weekly contractor meetings to drive safety and cost control.
• Review contractor/subcontractor/vender execution plans and change orders.
• Monitor progress, report to Owners and Jacobs management, and manage risks.
