Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will guide pre-construction and on-site construction, overseeing schedule, safety, and quality to ensure on-time delivery.

You will manage a field team of 5+ and coordination with subcontractors and vendors, applying BIM, Lean, and advanced construction practices, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience on large building or civil projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• Experience leading Data Center projects and managing subcontractors/vendors.
• Data Center upfits experience.
• Knowledge of 120VAC power tie-ins, sensors, fiber, network cabling.
• Knowledgeable of NFPA70E.
• CPM scheduling and commissioning planning experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.
• Ability to read contract docs, drawings, schedules.
• Experience with BIM/Lean and other advanced tech.
• OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning and constructability reviews.
• Develop and implement construction schedules.
• Plan commissioning and micro-scheduling.
• Lead Data Center projects of $10M TIC or greater.
• Manage field staff of 5+ and subcontractors/vendors.
• Review and approve contractor/ subcontractor/ vendor execution plans.
• Monitor progress and report to Owners and Jacobs management.
• Lead daily/weekly contractor meetings focusing on safety, schedule, cost.
