Job summary

Jacobs, a global leader in data center construction and engineering, seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead a high-profile data center project in Spartanburg, South Carolina. You will guide pre-construction and on-site activities, coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver on schedule and budget.

The role demands 12+ years in large-building projects, PM leadership of data center teams, and deep knowledge of scheduling, safety, NFPA70E, BIM, and Lean methods.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large building or civil projects.
• Data center project leadership and subcontractor management.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA70E and electrical tie-ins.
• Strong scheduling and commissioning planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with BIM, Lean and modern tech.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning and site logistics to optimize safety, cost and schedule.
• Develop and implement construction schedules.
• Plan commissioning and micro-scheduling.
• Lead data center projects of $10M TIC or greater.
• Manage a field staff of 5+ personnel.
• Review contractor and vendor execution plans.
• Monitor progress and report to Owners and Jacobs management.
• Lead daily/weekly contractor meetings to drive safety, schedule, change management and cost.
• Establish defect remediation processes with contractors.
• Support Interactive Planning (IAP) schedule sequence development.
