Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead a data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will oversee pre-construction and on-site activities, drive safety via Jacobs Beyond-Zero, and manage schedule, cost, and vendor performance.

Strong leadership and communication are essential for coordinating subcontractors and field staff. Requires 12+ years in large building/civil projects, Data Center experience, and a BS in engineering or construction management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent
• Experience leading Data Center projects and managing subcontractors/vendors
• Knowledgeable in 120VAC tie-ins, sensors, controls wiring and network cabling

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction and construction review of contractor performance against schedule and quality
• Develop and implement construction schedules and micro-scheduling
• Lead safety programs and enforce Jacobs Beyond-Zero culture
• Conduct daily/weekly contractor meetings to drive safety and cost control
• Review change orders and audit installed quantities to support accurate scheduling
• Provide detailed progress reporting to Owners and Jacobs management
• Utilize BIM, Lean principles and other leading-edge tech on projects
• Ensure proper notification/remediation of defects during construction
