Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for a data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will lead pre-construction and construction activities, manage a field team, ensure safety, and drive schedule and cost performance.

Collaboration with Owners and Jacobs management is essential as you review plans and oversee progress. The role requires 12+ years of large-project experience, a relevant engineering or construction degree, and knowledge of NFPA70E.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience on large building or civil projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent.
• Experience leading a Data Center project team and managing subcontractors/vendors.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E.
• OSHA 30 or willingness to achieve within 60 days.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs and schedules.
• Familiarity with BIM, Lean principles and advanced tech.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction and construction planning with safety, cost and schedule optimization.
• Develop and implement construction schedules and monitoring.
• Lead daily/weekly meetings with contractors to drive safety, schedule, changes, and cost.
• Review and approve contractor and vendor execution plans; audit installed quantities.
• Support innovative solutions around modularization and prefabrication.
