Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead a data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will oversee pre-construction and field execution, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality while coordinating with contractors, vendors, and the Owner.

The role requires 12+ years of experience in large projects, data center familiarity, NFPA70E knowledge, and strong communication. Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on innovative modular solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience on large building or civil projects.
• Data Center project leadership experience and managing subcontractors/vendors.
• Knowledgeable of NFPA70E and construction scheduling (critical path methods).
• Proficient reading and interpretation of contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning, site logistics, and safety programs.
• Develop and implement construction schedules and monitor progress.
• Lead daily/weekly contractor meetings to drive safety, schedule, cost control, and change management.
• Review contractor and vendor plans, audit installed quantities, and support owner in project decisions.
• Provide guidance on US construction practices and review change orders.
