Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead our data center project in Spartanburg, South Carolina. You will drive pre-construction and construction activities, align contractor performance with schedule and quality, and guide the Owner through approvals and change management.

This role requires 12+ years on large building or civil projects, a bachelor’s in engineering or construction management, and experience with data center projects, BIM/Lean, and NFPA70E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent.
• 12+ years on large building or civil projects.
• Experience leading a Data Center project team and managing subs/vendors.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E, critical path scheduling and commissioning planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction and construction, review contractor performance and schedule.
• Develop construction schedules and monitor progress daily.
• Lead meetings to drive safety, cost, schedule and change management.
• Audit quantities and assist in invoicing reviews.
• Provide guidance on US construction practices and review change orders.
• Implement BIM, Lean methods and other advanced tech.
• Ensure subcontracts, vendors and contractors align with plans.
• Coordinate with Owners, Jacobs management and project team.
• Establish defect remediation processes during construction.
