Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities across the US. You will partner with business leaders and engineering teams to establish direction and deliver modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and cloud technologies.

You will guide architecture decisions, mentor engineering teams, remove delivery barriers and ensure secure, scalable, high-performing solutions while advancing AI adoption and analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology discipline.
• 8–12 years of progressive professional experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics engineering or related field.
• Experience leading technical workstreams and guiding architecture decisions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and production support.
• Experience reviewing designs, platform integrations and data pipelines.
• Experience managing technical risks and delivery timelines.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience leading onshore/offshore delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise data, analytics and AI platform initiatives from requirements to deployment and support.
• Guide architecture and solution-design decisions to meet security, scalability and operational requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Review designs, data pipelines and analytics solutions for reliability and performance.
• Manage risks, dependencies and delivery timelines with governance and quality controls.
• Coach and mentor team members and promote consistent engineering practices.
• Communicate risks and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Lead onshore and offshore transitions, knowledge transfer and post-transition stabilization.
