Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to perform analyses that back business conclusions with solid data research. The role sits in the Data Science & Analytics function and involves reviewing data to improve effectiveness and predict outcomes for business intelligence.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines, producing complex reports, and presenting data stories to multiple levels of the organization. A bachelor’s degree is preferred with 2–5 years’ experience; master’s is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree. Master’s degree preferred.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data aggregation and curate complex reports using BI and reporting applications.
• Perform ad-hoc, strategic review of structured and unstructured data reflecting global real estate markets.
• Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize information to generate insights.
• Define complex data requirements and gather information using judgment and statistical tests.
• Use programming and evaluation tools, including open-source programs to plan models and extract insights.
• Identify opportunities to maximize data usage and apply modeling to improve business performance.
• Develop ad-hoc reporting based on the review of existing data sources.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
