Job summary

CBRE, a leading global real estate services firm, seeks a Sr. Data Analyst to perform analyses ensuring conclusions are backed by data.

You will coordinate data aggregation, build pipelines, develop insights, and present data stories to multiple levels of leadership across global operations. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years’ experience, a preference for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and the ability to collaborate with agile teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to understand possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data aggregation and curate complex reports using BI/reporting tools.
• Perform ad-hoc strategic review of structured and unstructured data reflecting global real estate markets and assets.
• Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse and standardize information to generate insights.
• Define complex data requirements and gather information using judgment and statistical tests.
• Use programming and evaluation tools to plan models and extract insights.
• Identify opportunities to maximize data usage and apply modeling to develop strategies.
• Develop ad-hoc reporting based on existing data sources.
• Exhibit rigorous data storytelling to multiple levels of the organization.
• Confirm quality and integrity of data sources.
• Collaborate with agile development teams to enhance processes.
• Apply standard principles to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems.
• Have broad knowledge across data disciplines within the function.
• Impact the quality of own work and that of others; follow guidelines.
• Lead by example and model CBRE values in decision making.
• Work within standardized procedures to achieve objectives and deadlines.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
