Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers to build and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This hands-on, customer-facing role requires engineering excellence, curiosity, and the ability to translate complex concepts into measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) with expertise in at least one.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solutions delivery including reference architectures, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integration.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver engagements that meet customer requirements.
