Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers on data & AI challenges using the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

You will deliver production-grade solutions, guide transformational big data projects, and collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to drive measurable outcomes. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Scala or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with distributed computing and Spark runtime internals.
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments and MLOps basics.
• Ability to design end-to-end data architectures and applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery with reference architectures and data ingestion.
• Architect and design end-to-end data/AI solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and customer teams to deliver impact.
• Embed with customer teams to ensure adoption and measurable outcomes.
• Provide feedback to product teams and help scale accelerators and best practices.
