Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead architecture, design decisions, and hands-on implementation across data engineering, AI, and application development for customer engagements. You will own end-to-end delivery, ensuring secure and scalable solutions while aligning with Databricks best practices.

The role involves embedding with customer teams, traversing technical ICs to executives, and delivering accelerators and best practices that scale across accounts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery for data/AI projects on Databricks platform.
• Design reference architectures and end-to-end data, ML/AI pipelines.
• Collaborate with engagement managers to scope technical deliveries and translate concepts for customers.
