Job summary

Databricks is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to collaborate with customers on data and AI challenges, delivering production-grade architectures and end-to-end systems within the Databricks platform. You will own design decisions, drive cross-functional initiatives, and embed with client teams to maximize value.

The role requires hands-on delivery, strong engineering instincts, and the ability to translate complex problems into actionable solutions while maintaining customer empathy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Spark knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery, reference architectures, and data/ML integration.
• Guide transformational big data projects end-to-end with cross-functional teams.
• Own architecture decisions ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with Databricks best practices.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact to drive value.
