Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers on data and AI solutions using the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver end-to-end systems across data engineering, AI, and application development.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring engineering excellence, adaptability, and strong customer empathy. You will embed with customer teams, deliver accelerators, and help customers achieve measurable outcomes

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Experience delivering technical projects with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent documentation and white-boarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead impactful customer technical projects delivering production-grade systems.
• Design reference architectures, data ingestion and ML/AI model integration.
• Guide transformational big data projects end-to-end.
• Own architecture and ensure secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams.
• Provide feedback to product and support teams to improve engagements.
