Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers on data and AI solutions. You will own architecture, drive design decisions, and deliver end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

Role requires collaboration across engineering, product, and customer teams, embedding with clients, and producing production-grade solutions with strong customer empathy. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• CI/CD for production deployments.
• Experience with MLOps and ML/AI models.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architectures combining pipelines and AI models.
