Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Sr. Dams Engineering Manager to lead technical design efforts and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across dam projects. The role supports clients and internal teams, delivering safe, economical hydropower and civil structures.

You will oversee design calculations, drawings, cost estimates, and engineering analyses while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with business development on pursuits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum of 11 years related engineering experience.
• Active engineering registration (P.E.) to support engineer of record.
• Must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical design work and manage small project teams.
• Lead smaller projects involving dams, levees, spillways, intakes and outlets and other structure improvements.
• Deliver high-quality design products, prepare calculations and design documents.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across disciplines to deliver designs.
• Mentor and interact with professionals across hydropower and dams teams.
